Cover Tape
Cover tape is sealed to the carrier tape to hold the devices in the pockets during transportation and storage. Veridicon offers a full range of Advantek cover tapes to meet various requirements.
Heat Activated Cover Tape
Advantek’s universal Cover Tapes seal to both polycarbonate and polystyrene Carrier Tape materials. They are all halogen free and were developed to meet market requirements. Each type of tape offers a different set of features and advantages. Select the tape that has the best alignment with your application.
AA Cover Tape
Advantek’s Type AA® Cover Tape is an antistatic, transparent, heat sealable cover tape. It is engineered to protect and contain surface mount components in embossed polystyrene carrier tapes.
- Transparent to allow post-taping inspection of components while in the pocket
- Formulated to minimize wetting
- Consistent peel back force
- Complies with EIA-481 standards
- Proven to perform with Advantek Carrier Tapes:
- Tri-Lam Polystyrene materials: C, D, X, V, T, I & J

ABx Cover Tape
Advantek’s ABx™ Cover Tape is a heat-actived antistatic cover tape. This high-quality, low-cost product was developed to reduce the tendency to bond or stick to areas other than the seal tracks. This condition is known as ‘wetting’ and causes unpredictable or unstable peel force as well as visual concerns.

- Complies with EIA-481 standards

- Tri-lam Polystyrene materials: C, D, X, V, T, I & J

HUC Cover Tape
Advantek’s Type HUC Cover Tape is an antistatic, transparent, heat sealable cover tape. It is engineered to protect and contain surface mount components in embossed polystyrene and polycarbonate carrier tapes.
- Transparent to allow post-taping inspection of components in the pocket
- Formulated to minimize wetting

HUE Cover Tape
Advantek’s Type HUE Cover Tape is an antistatic, transparent, heat sealable cover tape. It is specially designed to minimize wetting and device stickiness; a proven solution to protect and contain surface mount components in embossed polystyrene and polycarbonate carrier tapes.

Pressure Sensitive Cover Tape
Advantek has pressure sensitive cover tapes for polystyrene and polycarbonate carrier tape material. These re-sealable, high-transparency pressure sensitive cover tapes are perfect for both small trial runs and high volume packaging.
PUA Cover Tape
Advantek’s Type PUA Cover Tape is an antistatic, transparent, pressure sensitive cover tape. It is engineered to protect and contain surface mount components in embossed polystyrene and polycarbonate carrier tapes, while minimizing wetting.
